Tuesday morning a crane will deliver a new heat pump to Mindport’s roof, the grand finale of a five-month process of restoring heat to the building and repairing damage done by the previous system’s failure. Starting Wednesday, staff will be cleaning up from all the activity, painting walls and making repairs where the radiators used to sit, and re-installing artworks and exhibits. We’ll also be making sure we are staffed and ready to open with a new schedule and new Covid protocols. We hope to complete this work as quickly as we can, and as soon as we have a firm date to reopen, we will let you know. In the meantime, big thanks for the kind words and patience of those who have been checking in on our progress during this long closure, and for all the problem solving and care that has gone into fixing the building. We are so grateful and excited to be able to throw open our doors again soon!
