Mike Sonnichsen spent the first seven years of his life in Puerto Rico, snorkeling, collecting ocean glass, and exploring rain forests. Tuesday morning a crane will deliver a new heat pump to Mindport’s roof, the grand finale of a five-month process of restoring heat to the building and repairing damage done by the previous system’s failure. Starting Wednesday, staff will be cleaning up from all the activity, painting walls and making repairs where the radiators used to sit, and re-installing artworks and exhibits.
